11 October – Starlight Walk

Walk with us under the stars!

REGISTER HERE

Every step of our 10km Starlight Walk brings comfort to families facing the heartbreak of losing a baby or child. We truly understand that #memoriesmatter and thanks to your support last year, we’ve given memory boxes to 120 families in one year – precious memories and keepsakes to hold onto when everything else feels lost.

This year, together, we can leave #footprintsthatmatter and shine light into the darkest nights.

The Starlight Walk is held during #BabyLossAwarenessWeek 9th – 15th October and the Fort Regent Dome will again be shining #pinkandblue in memory of the babies and children who lit up our lives, however briefly.

Huge thanks to our event sponsor Slomans for their continuing support.

, with plenty of toilets along the way and a water fountain opposite Sacred Heart Church near our marshal point, so bring your refillable water bottles!

Some will be walking in memory of their babies and children and ‘Walking in memory of’ stickers are available. As everyone walks to the finish the Fort Regent Dome is visible, shining pink and blue in memory of all the babies and children who have gone too soon.

Please take a tealight for the Wave of Light at 7pm on 15th October where all around the world people light a candle in memory of the babies who lit up our lives for such a short time.

Can I bring my dog?
Yes! Dogs are welcome, just make sure to bring them to the gazebo so we can tell them what a good boy or girl they are.

Can I keep my flashing torch
Sorry no! Much as we’d love to be able to give them away, we re-use them each year as this is more environmentally friendly than one-use glow sticks and also keeps our event costs down. But you can collect your medal at the finish so you don’t go away empty handed!

I can’t make it on the night, can I still support you?
Yes – during October you can register for an ANYTIME ticket and walk when it suits you or, you can make a donation direct to the fundraising page.

I can’t walk 10km, can I walk less?
Walk what you can – it’s the taking part that counts! Or if you can’t make the walk but still want to support us, why not make a donation direct to the fundraising page.
