Kenan joined Philip’s Footprints in 2020 taking on the roles of both Chair and Trustee. He brings a wealth of experience including business and technology transformation solutions as well as experience from other charity positions.
He is a founding Director of Magellan Consultancy, who support Philip’s Footprints as well as a number of other local charities and community organisations.
As Chair, he is focused on ensuring that in these challenging times the charity is running the charity efficiently, ensuring the value of the funds raised is maximised, putting them to good use across the community in Jersey.
“In 2019 I was approved as a Jersey Civil Celebrant with a personal aim to raise funds for a local charity. I met with Jo Nash and learnt how the charity supports so many people through some difficult times, but, by also focussing on promoting healthy pregnancies, can help families avoid the worst-case scenario of losing a baby. I felt it was an appropriate choice for me, as a parent, to support them.
To date my business, the Jersey Se Marier, has raised an incredible £30,000 and I would like to thank all those couples for letting me be part of their special day and helping raise funds for this most worthy charity.
Becoming Chair provided a male perspective which is not always represented in the wider world when discussing baby loss. I believe it is important to have this viewpoint within our board of trustees.”
