Mission & Vision

Our Vision

Philip’s Footprints vision is to see fewer babies die and when a baby or child does die, that those affected receive the best possible bereavement care and support.

Our Mission

Philip’s Footprints mission is two-fold. Supporting families from the very earliest of losses through pregnancy and infant loss and child loss up to age 18. We offer comfort in memory boxes, remembrance services, funding professional bereavement support and providing support, in a group setting or one to one.

Wanting to improve outcomes for Jersey babies, the charity has its “Safer Pregnancy Projects”. These projects fund training for health professionals, antenatal equipment and information on safer pregnancies to help reduce the number of stillbirths, premature births and complications at birth.

For pregnancies after loss, we recognise that this can be a time filled with joy, fear and grief – and can provide support. The charity also donates items to support families in the Lullaby Trust ‘Care of Next Infant’ (CONI) programme, a health-visitor led service for bereaved parents, which supports families before and after the birth of their new baby.
